You ever wonder what English would sound like if you couldn’t understand it? This one-hour play shows us the world through Nani’s eyes. When we meet her she is in Peru but her head is full of American dreams, never ending tik tok references, mistranslations, and a very exaggerated story of her time in the U.S.

How do we move between Peru and Boca Raton Florida? We wanted to feel Peru present even as we moved between spaces so we focused on the floor of the small black box theatre. We focused on a red brick floor that reminded each of the actors of their own homes - Cuba, Puerto Rico, Peru and Colombia. The sparse scenery pieces allowed space for the choreography to transport us between countries and Nani’s overwhelmed mind.
