When young Nuyorican-Jewish Toñita/Toni’s heart is broken, her guardian angel, Marian, appears to her in a dream to guide her through this sorrow. During this cosmic journey, Toñita/Toni is re-introduced to two important men in her life from each side of her family, who died when she was a child. As she walks in her ancestor’s shoes, she learns from their mistakes, rejoices in their triumphs, and in the end, learns what big love really means.
